External Sales Representative

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven External Sales Representative to manage and grow an established customer base within the Pretoria area. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, achieving monthly sales targets, and providing exceptional customer service.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently while remaining accountable to measurable performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio within the allocated territory.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits to maintain strong relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
• Meet the required customer coverage and call cycle expectations.
• Achieve monthly sales targets based on historical sales performance.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on customer enquiries.
• Monitor customer stock levels and recommend suitable product solutions.
• Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities using the company's CRM system.
• Submit reports and required administration within the prescribed deadlines.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.

Travel Requirements

• The successful candidate must reside in Pretoria or Centurion.
• Occasional travel to the company's Randburg office will be required for meetings, training, and other business-related activities.
• A monthly country trip involving approximately two nights away from home is required. All approved business travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the company.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous external sales experience (preferably in wholesale, distribution, or FMCG).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
• Computer literacy and the ability to use CRM software.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Own reliable vehicle is essential.

Vehicle & Travel

• Candidates must have their own reliable vehicle.
• Business-related fuel expenses will be covered by the company in accordance with company policy.

Performance Expectations

• Meet all customer coverage requirements and scheduled customer visits.
• Consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM records reflecting customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a customer-focused approach.

Remuneration

• Salary is performance-based and linked to the achievement of monthly sales targets.
• Business fuel expenses are reimbursed by the company.
• Company-funded accommodation and travel expenses apply for approved monthly country trips.

Pay: R18 000,00 - R23 000,00 per month
