Job description
The Role
Our client is delivering a large-scale application delivery and security programme within one of South Africa's leading financial institutions.
We're looking for an experienced Senior F5 Application Delivery Engineer to play a key role in designing, implementing and optimising enterprise-grade application delivery and security solutions.
This is a hands-on implementation role suited to an F5 specialist who has successfully delivered complex enterprise projects involving BIG-IP technologies.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement F5 Application Delivery solutions
- Deploy and configure F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS, APM and Advanced WAF
- Implement secure remote access and application security solutions
- Configure and optimise load balancing within enterprise data centres
- Perform testing, optimisation and production deployments
- Produce technical documentation and hand over solutions to support teams
- Work closely with project teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience implementing F5 solutions in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- F5 BIG-IP LTM
- F5 BIG-IP DNS (GTM)
- F5 BIG-IP APM
- F5 Advanced WAF (or ASM)
- Experience with BIG-IQ administration
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, SSL, routing and application delivery
- Experience delivering complete F5 implementations from design through deployment
