TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. We provide health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs. Purpose of the position:

The Facility Coordinator will lead and manage implementation of interventions at district to site level. They will coordinate and work with M&E teams for weekly meetings and review of performance, refine weekly plans in light of yield/challenges and develop QI projects. They will have line management of various coordinators within districts (supervising clinical, support and psychosocial teams etc.) and ensure effective implementation of a peer driven model for case management working collaboratively with a sub-recipient organisation. They will support delivery of differentiated HTS and models of care: HIVSS, index testing, recency testing.

The Facility Coordinator will ensure effective collaboration between teams, especially clinical and M&E teams. They will engage with and establish optimal working relationships with stakeholders (district DOH, health care facilities, C&T networks and other implementing organisations). They will ensure reporting to and communication with the Regional Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree/diploma in Nursing Science, health or equivalent
  • Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage
  • Trained and completed APC sessions
  • NIMART trained
  • Trained in TB and HIV clinical management
  • 5 years’ experience practising as a qualified health care professional
  • 2 years in managerial / supervisory experience
  • Valid registration with SANC, HPCSA or any other recognised registration body
  • Ability to communicate in IsiXhosa and English or another South African language
  • Valid code 08 driver’s licence
  • Clear criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads a cluster of facility clinical teams
  • Responsible for DSD implementation and coordination of teams
  • Ensures integrated TB and HIV screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and continuity of care
  • Provides clinical and technical to facility team leads
  • Participates in hospital, district, PHC and clinic committee meetings; supports multi-disciplinary team approach to managing client
  • Works closely with QI teams to embed impactful change initiatives
