About the Role

Intrade Africa is recruiting market researchers to support on-the-ground data collection across formal and informal trade environments. We provide ground truth intelligence to a diversified client base through collection data at store level through our market research teams.

As a market researcher you will complete an assigned area or route by visiting the store and completing all the questions about the store. Accurate capture of the store data is the job. Each researcher needs to maintain daily store capture target on the amount of stores and the quality of the data.

This is a fully field-based role requiring daily walking through assigned zones and engaging directly with outlet owners and staff.

This role is best suited to individuals who are confident, can work independently, are disciplined, patient, and comfortable working in busy environments.

Preferred Geographical Locations (Local Area Recruitment)

These roles are community based and preference will be given to candidates who reside within or near the assigned operational zones. Applicants should be comfortable working mainly within a defined area, with travel requirements varying depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Walk assigned areas to identify and engage formal and informal trade outlets
• Capture accurate outlet data using the Intrade Mobile App
• Take clear outlet photographs and ensure GPS accuracy
• Explain the purpose of the project professionally to outlet staff
• Submit complete, accurate forms daily with no duplication
• Consistently maintain daily store visit target
• Consistently maintain quality of data submitted

• Field ID, uniform and introduction letters

Minimum Requirements

• South African ID or valid work permit or passport
• Matric (preferred)
• Fluent in local language + English
• Physically fit
• Advantageous: Previous experience in data collection, data capturing, market research, census, community researcher, stats SA, customer service, sales, promotions, merchandizing, account management and telesales.

Pay: R5 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
