Job description
Main Purpose of the Role
- Efficiently manage a sales territory according to a route plan.
- Increase profitable sales through retailers and wholesalers.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Grow existing customer accounts and develop new business opportunities.
- Open new customer accounts with management approval.
- Promote the full product range and encourage customers to upgrade purchases.
- Monitor competitors and report market activity.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
Team Management
- Supervise merchandisers
Merchandising & Store Execution
- Ensure products are attractively displayed using promotional materials such as
- Negotiate for better shelf placement and additional display space.
- Maintain correct merchandising standards, stock rotation, cleanliness, and product visibility.
- Ensure key products always have sufficient shelf stock.
Administration & Reporting
- Submit regular sales and call reports.
- Maintain accurate customer records and administrative tasks.
- Process credit applications for new customers.
- Assist with collection of overdue payments where needed.
Operational Duties
- Maintain company vehicle and sales equipment in good condition.
- Attend required sales meetings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
- Train customers or customer staff on proper product use when necessary.
