Field Service Technician

About the Role

We are looking for motivated and customer-focused Field Service Technicians to join our growing technical support team. In this role, you will provide onsite installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for a range of technology solutions, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and assess installation readiness.
• Install, configure, and test equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide customers with training on product functionality following installation.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and technical faults within agreed SLA timeframes.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on installed equipment.
• Escalate complex technical issues when required.
• Complete service reports, job cards, and technical documentation accurately.
• Maintain communication with internal support teams regarding service updates.
• Manage and maintain technician stock and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and adhere to company driving policies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service during every onsite visit.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• IT-related Diploma or Degree (preferred).
• A+ and N+ Certification or equivalent technical certifications (advantageous).
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the allocated region.

Experience

• 1–3 years' experience in an IT technical support or field service environment.
• Experience with networking, hardware installations, POS systems, or payment solutions is advantageous.
• Experience working within SLA-driven environments.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Queenstown, Eastern Cape
