Purpose of the Position:

• To support the Canal+ Group and Africa Finance teams
• To support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across 20+ countries, 8+ clusters and 70+ MCG entities in Africa
• To support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance measurement and management
• To provide analysis to support strategic and capital allocation decision-making
• To work closely with the Canal+ Africa FPA&R team responsible for the historic Canal+ International perimeter
• To work closely with the Canal+ Africa Consolidation & Financial Services team, as well as tax and treasury teams

Key Objectives Tasks

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Prepare and disseminate budget procedures, guidelines and targets
• Co-ordinate target setting, planning, budgeting and forecasting activities
• Review and question budget, forecast, month-end and semi-annual submissions
• Analyse consolidated forecasts for income statement and cash flows statement
• Challenge assumptions and outputs
• Maintain scenario models and sensitivity analyses, notably for FX assumptions

Reporting, Analysis & Insights

• Prepare monthly management reports and performance summaries, including variance analysis
• Analyse financial, non-GAAP and operational KPIs to unpack key drivers
• Provide financial insights and commentary
• Analyse subscribers, revenues, costs, and cash flow drivers (working capital, capex etc.)

Business & Executive Support

• Perform ad hoc analysis including modelling activities for commercial projects
• Maintain and execute relevant segment FP&A procedures
• Prepare and collate the business unit and functional area FP&A reports
• Analyse consolidated rolling forecasts of Income Statement and Cash flow statement

Qualifications

• CA(SA), DEC or equivalent preferable
• Relevant postgraduate finance qualification advantageous (e.g. CFA, FPAC)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years post articles relevant experience in a similar role
• Sound base of experience with forecasting, budgeting and reporting
