This position is with Hexagon’s Mining division, a global technology leader, and solution provider for surface and underground mine challenges, with proven technologies for planning, operations, and safety. The Mining Division is part of the broader Autonomous Solutions Business Area of Hexagon.
Purpose of Position:
As Finance Business Partner this position serves as the primary financial business partner for the EMEA region of the Mining Division. This role owns the regional forecast, provides analysis of actual regional results, provides commercial financial support and provides strategic insights to the EMEA region to support business objectives.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Analysis & Steering
- Collaborate with Mining Regional VP and leadership team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with Strategy
- Support the bi-annual financial planning process (Strategy in Spring and MTFP in Fall)
- Provide analysis and support the regional leader in the Quarterly Business Review, including margin analysis and detailed review of Operational Costs
- Stewardship, review, and validation of the regional sales incentive plan (SIP) calculations and presentation to leadership of result
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and guidance on business strategies
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for actual financial performance against budget and forecast
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for senior leadership
Working Together
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies to enhance financial regional performance
- Contribute data and support ad-hoc financial requests within the team
- As a coach, provide financial knowledge and insights to all areas of the organization
- Using your MS Excel and PowerPoint skills to provide reports and presentations as needed within the organization
Stakeholder Experience
- Act as a trusted advisor to all stakeholders providing financial data, financial knowledge and support as needed
- Prioritize stakeholders’ needs and enhance their experience
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners
Governance
- Assist with providing an environment of sound internal controls and common policy across all of Hexagon
- Proactively communicate deviations or concerns around financial compliance and IFRS along with local requirements
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in an accounting of financial analysis position
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft 365 capabilities, with experience in analyzing data from different sources
- Strong Communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently as an individual contributor with high ownership and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems and information flow
- Ability to work within tight deadlines including month-end closing process
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
- FP&A /business partnering experience with an industrial or mining firm
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent
- Exposure to Salesforce, SAP, and OneStream
Travel:
