Job description
Do the best work of your career, building the financial backbone of a growing cybersecurity and data company
CyberSentriq protects thousands of businesses directly and through the managed service providers (MSPs) who look after them. As we scale across the UK, Ireland, South Africa and the US, our finance function has to be as dependable as the security we deliver. That's where you come in.
The role
As Financial Manager, you'll own the accuracy and integrity of our general ledger across every legal entity in the group. You'll run month-end close from start to finish, keep our balance sheet clean, and make sure billing, receivables and VAT are right in every jurisdiction.
You'll report to our Financial Controller and work closely with them as their deputy. That means real exposure to group reporting, audit and board-level work, and a clear route toward broader financial control responsibility.
What you'll do
Close and reconciliations
- Own the month-end close process, including the close checklist, trial balance review and sign-off
- Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments
- Own balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, with monthly sign-off across all entities
- Maintain the fixed asset register and review bank reconciliations
Receivables, billing and payables
- Own accounts receivable, credit control and collections across all legal entities
- Make sure customer invoices, credit notes and VAT details are accurate and delivered
- Resolve invoice disputes and review supplier invoices and payment runs
Reporting, tax and audit
- Contribute to P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reporting
- Prepare or review VAT and statutory filings for the UK, Ireland and South Africa (VAT MTD, VAT3, VAT201) with our external advisors
- Lead day-to-day audit liaison, including PBC schedules and auditor queries
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and support the budgeting cycle
Controls and people
- Review the work of our AP and AR team, acting as the second line of quality control
- Document and improve SOPs for close, reconciliation and reporting, and flag control gaps
- Support NetSuite improvements as a subject-matter expert
- Deputise for the Financial Controller when they're away
What success looks like
In your first three to six months, you'll have:
- Run the month-end close and hit every management reporting deadline
- Delivered signed-off balance sheet reconciliations across all entities, every month
- Built a clear, regular rhythm for AR ageing, collections and credit control
- Kept VAT filings on time across all three VAT jurisdictions
- Documented the core close and reconciliation SOPs
- Become the person the AP and AR team, and the wider business, turn to for answers
What we're looking for
Must-haves
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, SAICA or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Working knowledge of NetSuite or a similar ERP, plus strong Excel skills
- Confidence reviewing other people's work and giving clear, helpful feedback
- Clear communication with auditors, advisors and non-finance colleagues
Nice-to-haves
- Multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction finance experience
- Exposure to UK, Irish or South African VAT
- Experience preparing for or liaising on a statutory audit
- A track record of documenting or improving finance processes
Why CyberSentriq
CyberSentriq brings together Redstor and TitanHQ to give MSPs one integrated cybersecurity and data protection platform. We're a group spanning four countries, which means you'll work on real cross-border finance, not a single-entity ledger.
You'll join a finance team that's standardising how we work as we grow. Your SOPs, your controls and your judgement will shape how the group runs for years to come.

This role, is open to candidates based in South Africa.
- Time to recharge: 20 days paid holiday

How you'll live our Culture Code
- Fortress: You hold the line on standards. Reconciliations are signed off, reviews contain no surprises, and you close the loop every time.
- Shield: You treat financial data and controls as part of the security we promise our customers. You spot gaps early and raise them openly.
- Disruptor: You question "this is how we've always done it". If a process is manual, slow or unclear, you document it, fix it and move on.
- Champion: You set the AP and AR team up to win, give direct and respectful feedback, and make finance easy for the rest of the business to work with.
AI-native finance
We expect every Sentrian to use AI with good judgement. In this role, that means using approved tools to speed up reconciliations, analysis and SOP writing, while keeping the human firmly in the loop. You'll check every output, protect company and customer financial data, and share what works with the team.
