Finance Manager - Waste Control

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Waste Control division currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and organized Finance Manager to join their team. The position requires an efficient individual who is able to work in a fast paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Oversee the Finance function

· Perform reconciliation of complex debtor and subcontractor accounts.

· Review and approve purchase orders and rebate requests.

· Conduct internal audits and ensure the completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation.

· Oversee bank reconciliations.

· Compile monthly financial reports and present feedback to management.

· Apply and manage customer price increases within the ERP system.

· Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial controls and processes.

· Monitor departmental performance and provide regular reporting to management.

· Lead, mentor, develop, and support the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

· Provide financial guidance and support to the Sales and Transport departments as required.

· Assist with operational finance duties during periods of high workload or staff absences to ensure continuity and deadlines are met.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:

· Relevant degree or Accounting Diploma qualification

· A minimum of 10 years work experience in a finance or financial administration position

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial position with a strong focus on people management.

· Experience in using ACCPAC is an added advantage

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel knowledge is a must

Standard hours

07h30–17:00: Monday – Thursday

07h30–16h00: Friday
