We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Perform general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

Process and review month-end and year-end journal entries.

Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with SARS requirements.

Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.

Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee depreciation calculations.

Assist with statutory reporting and annual financial statements.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to management.

Assist with cost analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. An Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance will be preferred.

Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles is preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role.

Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience is essential.

Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation.

Experience with ERP systems (Syspro experience will be advantageous).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Proven ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
