We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Process and review month-end and year-end journal entries.

• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with SARS requirements.

• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee depreciation calculations.

• Assist with statutory reporting and annual financial statements.

• Support internal and external audit processes.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.

• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to management.

• Assist with cost analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. An Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance will be preferred.

• Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles is preferred.

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role.

• Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience is essential.

• Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation.

• Experience with ERP systems (Syspro experience will be advantageous).

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Proven ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
