FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – FRUIT INDUSTRY – FM2640

Somerset West area, Western Cape Province – South Africa: The Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring effective financial controls and supporting the financial management of the business.

The role has a strong focus on fruit industry accounting, including producer accounts, sales, cost of sales, debtors, creditors, banking, QX/Prophet, export costs and statutory compliance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience.
• Experience with Pastel .
• Experience with QX/Prophet or a similar agricultural ERP system advantageous.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Good understanding of VAT, PAYE and income tax.
• Strong analytical, organisational and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
