Role Purpose Accurately control and process financial information, prepare financial reports and analysis to enable business processes for the group insurance finance team.
Requirements
-
BCom Degree in Accounting
-
3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting
-
Knowledge of the insurance and investment industry and applicable regulatory requirements and legislation would be an advantage
Duties & Responsibilities
-
Complete month-end related tasks accurately and timeously within Group Insurance.

Pass month-end journals which will include premiums, claims, administration, commission, CAO, profit share and intercompany processes

Ensure accruals are accurate and timeous
-
Roll-up journals to be posted between the sub-ledger and Momentum Group Limited;

Perform recons between the administration system and the ledger
-
Analyse the income statement cash flow variances and supply commentary

Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and complete ageing
-
Liaise with the client service area monthly.

Assist with any audit query and engagement with the auditors.
