Financial Accountant

We're looking for a Financial Accountant who wants to do more than produce reports. This is an opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes, partner with business leaders, and contribute to the financial strength of a growing South African brand.

You'll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

What you'll be responsible for

• Preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations and trial balances.
• Driving month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Managing cash flow forecasting and payment processes.
• Ensuring VAT and statutory compliance.
• Maintaining fixed asset and general ledger integrity.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Identifying trends, resolving variances and improving financial processes.

We're looking for a finance professional who combines technical accounting expertise with commercial thinking and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom in Accounting.
• 3–5 years' accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end processes, and statutory compliance.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.

Advantageous

• SAIPA Professional Accountant qualification or completed articles.
• Experience using Syspro ERP.
• Exposure to budgeting, cash flow management, and audit preparation.
