About the role

Our client is an engineering and energy storage company developing battery modules, energy storage systems, and renewable energy solutions. As the business grows, they're looking for a commercially minded Financial Accountant to own the day to day accounting function while providing the financial insight that supports strategic decisions. This role has genuine growth potential and is expected to develop into a senior finance leadership position as the company expands locally and internationally.

What you'll be doing

Managing the full accounting function, monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, and working closely with operations and commercial teams on pricing, margin analysis, and project finance.

What you'll need

BCom Accounting or equivalent, plus a professional qualification (CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA)
Minimum 5 years relevant accounting experience
Strong management accounting background, not just financial reporting
Experience with an ERP system (Sage, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite or similar)
Advanced Excel

A strong advantage if you have

CIMA qualification or active progress toward it, experience in manufacturing, engineering, or renewable energy, product or project costing exposure, and Power BI or dashboard experience.
