Introduction:

A fast-growing technology company transforming the financial services industry is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in Cape Town .

This hands-on role will take ownership of core accounting and financial operations across multiple entities, while supporting reporting, cash flow and broader finance activities. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and values accuracy, ownership and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Oversee core finance operations including invoicing, supplier payments and debtor/creditor management
• Own key balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting to support accurate business decision-making
• Monitor daily cash positions and assist with cash flow planning and forecasting
• Provide accurate inputs into budgets, forecasts and financial models
• Support broader compliance requirements including VAT, payroll, tax, transfer pricing and company secretarial matters
• Help strengthen and streamline finance processes through better documentation, automation and effective use of AI tools

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified or in-progress CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA qualified, or currently working towards one, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience
• Strong hands-on financial accounting experience, including reconciliations and management accounts
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets
• Highly detail-oriented, proactive and comfortable taking full ownership of work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communicator with an interest in AI, automation and technology, and comfortable working within a high-growth business.

Salary:

• R40,000-R55,000 CTC per month
