Financial Advisor

RAYMO Direct Marketing is a growing direct marketing and financial services organisation focused on providing customers with suitable financial products and professional service.

We are looking for motivated, ambitious and people-focused individuals to join our team as Financial Advisers / Financial Services Consultants.

The Opportunity

As a Financial Adviser, you will work directly with customers to understand their financial needs, explain available financial products and assist them in making informed decisions.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships while working towards individual and team sales targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement

• Engage with new and existing customers professionally.
• Identify and understand customers’ financial needs and requirements.
• Build positive and professional relationships with customers.
• Provide customers with clear and accurate information.
• Explain financial products and services in a simple and understandable manner.
• Answer customer questions and provide appropriate assistance.
• Follow up with customers when required.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.

Sales & Business Development

• Promote and present relevant financial products and services.
• Generate new business and identify potential customers.
• Conduct sales presentations and product discussions.
• Work towards individual and team sales targets.
• Follow up on leads and prospective customers.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Develop and maintain a customer base.
• Identify opportunities for additional business where appropriate.
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions and development programmes.

Administration & Compliance

• Complete all required application and customer documentation accurately.
• Ensure customer information is captured correctly.
• Keep accurate records of sales and customer interactions.
• Follow company procedures and financial services compliance requirements.
• Ensure all required disclosures and disclaimers are communicated to customers.
• Explain relevant product terms, benefits, waiting periods, exclusions and premiums where applicable.
• Protect confidential customer information.
• Submit sales and administrative reports within the required timeframes.
• Ensure all sales are properly recorded and submitted.
• Follow the company’s code of conduct and internal policies.

Professional Development

• Attend company training and product training.
• Continuously improve product and industry knowledge.
• Develop communication, negotiation and sales skills.
• Stay informed about company products, procedures and compliance requirements.
• Accept coaching and feedback from management.
• Work towards achieving personal and professional development goals.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers.
• Ability to work towards targets.
• Valid South African identification/documentation where applicable.
• Must be willing to undergo company training.
• Must be willing to learn and develop within the financial services environment.

Relevant qualifications and industry experience will be advantageous.
