Job description
Are you commercially minded, analytical, and passionate about using data to drive business growth? Lesaka is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team and support strategic decision-making across our growing international portfolio.
As a leading South African fintech, Lesaka is expanding its footprint across Africa and seeks a finance professional who can deliver meaningful insights, support commercial decisions, and drive financial performance.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A – Community, with a dotted line to the Executive Head of International, you will support forecasting, financial modelling, business cases, performance reporting, and expansion initiatives across multiple African markets. You will also partner with stakeholders across Community and Corporate portfolios, including ADP, Card, and Hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly forecasting process, variance analysis, and management reporting for the international portfolio.
- Partner with business leaders on commercial decisions, business cases, and investment analysis for new and existing regions.
- Build and maintain financial models for strategic planning, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business cases.
- Assist in establishing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting frameworks for new regions across Africa.
- Prepare board and ExCo reporting packs, including financial commentary, KPI analysis, and risk reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support across ADP, Card, Hospitality, and other business portfolios.
- Develop management dashboards and ad hoc reports to support business performance.
- Monitor costs against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support month-end financial reporting and ensure data integrity across FP&A and reporting processes.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Manage margin costing, supplier contract controls, margin analysis, and related reporting activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in FP&A, financial analysis, commercial finance, business analytics, strategy, or consulting.
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Experience using financial systems and reporting tools.
- Experience designing reports and dashboards in Power BI or a similar platform.
- Strong written communication and financial commentary skills for board and investor reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
