Our client is a well-established manufacturing company within the packaging industry, supplying innovative packaging solutions to the bottled water and soft drinks market. They are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the company's finance function while partnering closely with operations to drive business performance.

Minimum Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or a related financial qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Accounting, Financial Management or a Financial Controller role.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (verbal and written) – Essential.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Own reliable transport and willingness to travel to Ekandustria (between Cullinan and Bronkhorstspruit).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the company's finance function.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and financial regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, accountants and external stakeholders.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and improve financial controls and reporting processes.
- Lead the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Become the internal ERP champion and support system optimisation.
- Develop and maintain product costing and pricing models.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure accurate product costing.
- Monitor inventory valuation and raw material costs.
- Partner closely with production to align financial and operational planning.
- Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Assist the Managing Director with strategic financial planning and reporting.
