Fleet Controller

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Fleet Controller to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge of fleet systems, and the ability to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily fleet operations, including vehicle movements, driver schedules, and route planning.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve operational issues.
• Handle breakdowns, accidents, and route deviations with efficiency and professionalism.
• Track fuel usage, vehicle performance, and report irregularities to management.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of fleet activities, incidents, and performance reports.
• Coordinate with office staff and field drivers to maintain clear communication channels.
• Support operational improvements to reduce downtime and enhance delivery efficiency.
• Input data for all fuel usage, truck stops, border costs, incidents, CE1 forms, etc.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in logistics or fleet control.
• Proven track record in monitoring and coordinating fleet operations.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and tracking software.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple vehicles/routes simultaneously.
• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Transport Management, or Business Administration.
• Prior experience working in the trucking and logistics company. (i.e. triaxles, tippers, tautliners and flat decks)
• Has coordinated trucks cross border. All SADC regions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fleet Controller: 5 years (Required)

• English, Zulu, Tswana, Afrikaans (Preferred)
