Job description
Main Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional and efficient service to guests.
- Assist with restaurant, buffet, café and other F&B operations.
- Set up, clear and maintain dining areas, tables and service stations.
- Serve food and beverages according to company standards.
- Replenish buffet items, beverages, cutlery, crockery and other supplies.
- Assist Waiters and F&B Supervisors during busy service periods.
- Respond to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
- Follow HACCP, food-safety, sanitation, health and safety procedures.
- Handle guest enquiries and escalate complaints to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work effectively within a multicultural and international team.
- Follow all company and shipboard policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous F&B, restaurant, hotel or cruise-ship experience is preferred.
- Previous cruise-ship experience is an advantage.
- Good spoken and written English.
- German language skills are preferred and will be considered an advantage.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and sea days.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Pay: R15 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
