Job description
Job Description Job Purpose: To maintain and enhance the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The role focuses on managing food safety processes, validations, audits, and documentation while supporting continuous improvement and risk management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in line with ISO 22000 and FSSC standards.
- Review technical data, update HACCP documentation, and assess impacts of product and process changes
- Manage and oversee CCP/OPRP validations, verifications, and related registers
- Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Coordinate food safety meetings, analyze performance data, and track improvement actions
- Manage centralized procedures and document control aligned with legal and internal requirements
- Deliver food safety training, drive team competency, and support food safety culture initiatives
- Perform internal audits, support external audits, and contribute to food safety projects and continuous improvement
Qualification Requirements
- Advance Diploma in Food Technology
- FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Certification ( Essential )
- Knowledge of high care, low care protocols ( Essential )
Experience Requirements
- 3-4 years’ experience in a Food Safety Management Systems within a food processing facility
Key Outputs Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, including ISO standards, PRPs, and food safety protocols
- Understanding of high care and low care production environments (advantageous)
- Skilled in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective action processes
- Excellent communication, report writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of business operations, planning, coordination, and basic HR processes
- Experience in identifying training needs and evaluating training effectiveness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis, with strong attention to detail
