We are recruiting for a Food Service Assistant is to assist with the preparation of and the serving of all meals and beverages to customers, ensuring great customer service always. It is the responsibility of a food service assistant to ensure that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy, assisting with waste removal and washing up.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and present high-quality meals, fast foods, snacks, and sandwiches in accordance with Tsebo standards and client requirements.
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in line with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Support stock control processes, including stock counts, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ensure all customers are greeted warmly and assisted in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Consistently provide service excellence in line with Tsebo's customer experience standards.
- Prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Adhere to loss prevention and stock management procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Comply with Tsebo policies, procedures, and workplace standards of conduct at all times.
- Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role as reasonably required by management
Skills and Competencies
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to service excellence.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or a similar hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and procedures.
- Basic stock control and inventory management awareness.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and colleagues.
