Forklift Driver/General Worker

The role of a Forklift Driver/General Worker in the Sales team, encompasses various responsibilities that bridge the gap between sales and warehouse operations. This position is crucial for ensuring that inventory is managed effectively while also supporting the sales team in meeting customer demands.

NOTE: This is a afternoon/night shift position. Working hours are 15:00 - 00:00.

Job Description:

Inventory Management:

• Assist in managing stock levels by monitoring inventory and ensuring that products are stored correctly.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Apply FIFO(FIRST IN FIRST OUT) stock rotation

Order Processing:

• Ensure timely picking, packing, checking and dispatching of goods.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that orders are fulfilled according to customer specifications.

Sales Support:

• Provide support to the sales team by preparing samples or demo stock as required.
• Assist in maintaining product displays within the warehouse to facilitate easy access for sales representatives.

Receiving Goods:

• Receive incoming stock, inspect them for damages, and verify quantities against transfer sheet
• Ensure that all received goods are properly documented and entered into the inventory management system.
• Receive returns, inspect them for damages and verify quantity against credit note.
• Package products securely for dispatched, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange deliveries and collections as needed.

Health & Safety Compliance:

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Identify potential hazards within the warehouse environment and take corrective actions.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss performance metrics, challenges, and improvements.

Contract length: 3 months

Education:

• High School (matric) (Required)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Driver (Required)

Pay: R5 700,00 - R5 750,00 per month
