Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Foundation Phase Educator (Grades 1-3) at Belhar Islamic Primary School, located in the City of Cape Town. The educator will be responsible for teaching foundation phase learners, preparing lesson plans, conducting classroom activities, and assessing student progress. The role involves creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment while catering to the individual needs of students. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in school activities and initiatives will also be expected.

Qualifications and requirements

• Sace registered (Not temporary)
• Strong skills in Lesson Planning, Teaching, and implementing effective classroom practices
• Proficiency in Education, including knowledge of early childhood learning methods and curriculum development
• Effective Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with students, parents, and staff
• Experience in Training and a strong understanding of child development principles are advantageous
• A relevant teaching qualification in Foundation Phase Education
• Proficiency in bilingual or multilingual education will be considered beneficial
• Passion for teaching and nurturing young learners
• Valid police clearance
