Job Advert Summary

SACS seeks to employ a fully-qualified, experienced, dynamic Foundation Phase Teacher whose diversity, commitment and energy will add value to our FP Team and School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating and developing young boys, with a commitment to fostering a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

Foundation Phase teaching qualification with class teaching experience.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with specialisation in Foundation Phase and class teaching experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Commencing from 1 January 2027.

• Knowledge and experience of the CAPS Curriculum, with Whole-Child Development of FP boys in mind, and an ability to implement Inquiry-Based Learning methodologies.
• An excellent command of the English language. Experience with Jolly Phonics and Afrikaans will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with the Thinking Schools Pedagogy will be beneficial.
• Strong computer literacy, including the use of multimedia teaching methods. (Proficiency with the Google Platform would be advantageous.)
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to contribute to the Summer and Winter Extra-Mural Programme.
• Commitment to the all-inclusive ethos, life and spirit of our school.
