Glenstantia Primary School seeks to appoint a Foundation Phase Teacher – Physical Education & Swimming Focus

Start Date: 13 January 2027
Help young learners build confidence in the classroom, on the field and in the water.
At Glenstantia Primary School in Pretoria, this Foundation Phase role combines classroom teaching with a strong focus on Physical Education and swimming.
We are looking for an experienced Foundation Phase Teacher who can contribute to the academic development of young learners while also bringing confidence and capability to physical education and swimming.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working with younger learners, values both classroom and physical development, and is comfortable contributing across different areas of school life.
What We Are Looking For
- A recognised REQV14 qualification – a four-year Education Diploma or Bachelor of Education in the Foundation Phase Degree
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the Foundation Phase
- A qualification in Physical Education would strengthen your application
- The ability to teach swimming - a recognised swimming coaching qualification would be beneficial
- A Learn-to-Swim qualification will be an advantage
- First Aid certification would be an added advantage
- Computer literacy
- SACE registration and a valid certificate
- Advanced proficiency in English
Applicants must have no criminal record and must provide a valid police clearance certificate.
