Freelance Content Creator – Photography & Video

Studio Skye is looking for a reliable, creative person to visit clients and capture photos and short videos for social media.

This opportunity would suit someone building their content creation portfolio who wants a side hustle and has some flexibility during the week.

What you’ll do

• Visit clients at agreed times to capture photos and videos.
• Follow content briefs and shot lists supplied by Studio Skye.
• Capture clear, engaging footage of products, services, staff and business premises.
• Deliver the original files within agreed deadlines.
• Represent Studio Skye professionally when visiting clients.

I will handle content planning, creative direction, editing, social media management and uploads. If you have editing skills and would like to offer this too, please mention it in your application.

What you’ll need

• Your own reliable transport and availability for weekday client visits.
• A smartphone or camera capable of producing good-quality photos and videos.
• An eye for lighting, framing and detail.
• Good communication, reliability and the ability to follow a brief.

Formal qualifications are not essential. Examples of your work, including personal projects, are welcome.

Payment and working arrangement

This is freelance work paid per completed job, with no fixed salary or guaranteed hours. The fee, scope, travel arrangements and payment terms will be agreed before each assignment.

Payment is made once the relevant client has paid Studio Skye, so applicants must be comfortable with payment potentially being delayed after a shoot.

Room to grow

There is potential for more assignments and additional responsibilities as the business grows. Bringing in new clients may also offer additional earning opportunities, with terms agreed in advance. Permission to use client content in your portfolio will be arranged with the client.

To apply

Please send a short introduction, your location, weekday availability, the equipment you use and examples of photos or videos you have created.

Pay: From R150,00 per hour

Work Location: In person
