We are hiring a creative thinker to help brainstorm and develop an original reality dating show, including its overall concept, format, dating games, challenges, contestant interactions, and entertaining moments.

This is NOT a music, music production, video editing, videography, acting, social media management, or general film production position.

We are not looking for someone to film or produce the show at this stage. We need someone who can develop fresh, original, engaging entertainment concepts.

Applicants must provide examples of previous creative development work. Applications without relevant experience will not be considered.

About the Project

Udara Productions is developing a new international reality dating show designed for digital audiences, including YouTube and social media.

We are seeking three creative individuals to collaborate on developing an original, entertaining, and easy-to-produce dating show concept.

Our goal is to create a simple, engaging studio-based format featuring singles, entertaining dating games, relationship decisions, humor, and authentic interactions.

The show should be affordable to film without requiring elaborate sets, expensive equipment, or complicated production arrangements.

This opportunity is focused strictly on creative development, brainstorming, and concept creation. No filming, editing, or on-site production is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Brainstorm original concepts for a studio-based reality dating show.
• Develop entertaining dating games, challenges, and interactive activities.
• Create simple but exciting ways for contestants to express attraction, interest, or rejection.
• Design engaging interactions between singles that encourage authentic conversations.
• Develop an entertaining format that can be filmed in one location with minimal equipment.
• Suggest creative ideas for contestant introductions, dating rounds, and final relationship decisions.
• Help structure the flow of each episode to keep viewers watching.
• Develop ideas that appeal to African, American, European, and international audiences.
• Collaborate with other creative team members through virtual brainstorming sessions.
• Help organize and document the strongest concepts into a practical show format.

What We're Looking For

• Highly creative individuals with original ideas.
• Strong interest in reality television, dating shows, and entertainment.
• Understanding of what makes short-form and YouTube entertainment engaging.
• Ability to develop exciting concepts that are inexpensive and practical to produce.
• Good communication, storytelling, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable participating in virtual brainstorming sessions.
• Reliable internet connection.

Experience in reality TV, unscripted entertainment, creative production, or content development is preferred but not required.

Emerging creative producers, entertainment writers, and individuals with strong creative development skills are welcome to apply.

Project Structure

We are hiring three creative individuals for an initial paid four-hour brainstorming session.

Following the first session, up to two individuals may be selected to continue for an additional two days to develop and finalize the strongest concepts.

Selection for additional days will depend on creativity, collaboration, originality, and project needs.

Compensation

• R600 per day for four hours of remote collaboration.
• Initial engagement: One paid day.
• Potential extension: Two additional paid days.
• Maximum compensation per individual: R1,800.

Expected Outcome

The goal is to develop a creative, original reality dating show concept that is entertaining, simple to film, and suitable for a digital audience.

Selected participants will work toward producing a written concept outline covering the show's structure, dating activities, contestant interactions, and episode flow.
