Job description

BRAIN RICH GROUP(Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Website Developer to join our team on a project basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading website migration, redesign, development, testing, deployment, documentation and ongoing maintenance activities while ensuring high levels of security, performance and usability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the migration of an existing website to a new platform.
Develop and implement a modern, responsive and user-friendly website.
Configure cloud hosting environments and manage DNS transitions.
Implement and configure a Content Management System (CMS) such as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power Pages or an equivalent platform.
Ensure SEO continuity and analytics integration during migration.
Optimise website performance, accessibility and user experience.
Configure SSL certificates, website security, firewalls and malware protection.
Conduct comprehensive testing across browsers and mobile devices.
Resolve technical issues and perform website maintenance and enhancements.
Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to end users.

Minimum Requirements

National Diploma or Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in website development.
Demonstrated experience in website migration and maintenance projects.
Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Power Pages or similar CMS platforms.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL and modern web technologies.
Knowledge of cloud hosting, DNS configuration and website deployment.
Understanding of website security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Portfolio of completed website projects.
