Do you live and breathe TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts? Do you instinctively know what makes someone stop scrolling?

We're looking for a proactive, creative, social-first Video Editor to join our freelance network and help create high-performing short-form content for some exciting brands.

You'll take long-form footage and creative briefs, then transform them into engaging, trend-led social content. We don't just want someone who can follow a brief—we're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, spot viral moments, and edit content based on what they know performs best across social platforms.

What you'll be doing

• Edit engaging short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Turn raw footage into scroll-stopping social-first edits.
• Follow creative briefs while adding your own creative flair and platform knowledge.
• Identify the strongest hooks, cuts, captions and pacing to maximise engagement.
• Keep up to date with the latest social media trends, editing styles and platform features.
• Deliver high-quality edits within agreed deadlines.

We're looking for someone who

• Has a strong portfolio of short-form social media content.
• Understands TikTok, Instagram and YouTube trends inside and out.
• Is proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• Has excellent editing skills using software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut and/or Canva.
• Has a great eye for storytelling, pacing and attention to detail.
• Can take feedback positively and iterate quickly.

Portfolio links are essential. Applications without examples of previous work will not be considered.

Pay rates given are for 40 hours worked per week. Per hour rate is R50.

Recruitment Process

Step 1 – Portfolio Submission
Send us links to your portfolio or examples of videos you've edited.

Step 2 – Phone Interview
If your work is a good fit, a member of our team will arrange a short phone interview.

Step 3 – Editing Test
We'll provide a creative brief and raw footage for you to edit into social-first content.

Step 4 – Freelance Contract
Successful applicants will be offered a freelance contract based on the quality of their editing test.
