Pump and Abrasion Technologies (PABT), a leading manufacturer of slurry pumping solutions, is seeking a skilled and self-driven Freelance SolidWorks Designer to support a high-volume engineering data simplification project.

About the Role

You will be responsible for converting and simplifying existing pump assembly models for use in marketing, commercial, and customer-facing applications. Working from supplied 3D models and structured project plans, you will deliver clean, simplified assemblies and export-ready STEP files across a range of pump configurations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer and simplify existing 3D assembly models.
• Convert supplied engineering models into commercial and marketing-ready assemblies.
• Generate STEP files for designated pump and accessory configurations.
• Execute project deliverables according to the agreed project plan and timeline.
• Maintain exceptional model accuracy, consistency, and data quality.

Essential Requirements

• Must have your own computer and 3D modelling software. Applications without access to the required hardware and software will not be considered.
• Proven experience in SolidWorks modelling and assembly design.
• Strong understanding of assemblies, configurations, and STEP file generation.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Deliverables

• Simplified pump assembly models.
• STEP files for all assigned pump and accessory configurations.
• Completion of assigned pump ranges and project milestones within the contract period.

Ideal Candidate

You are a highly motivated freelance CAD specialist with strong SolidWorks expertise and a proven ability to manage repetitive, detail-critical modelling tasks while maintaining exceptional quality and consistency.
