Job description
We're hiring a Front Desk and Operations Administrator (remote, South Africa).
CoSauce is building out the support side of a residential paving business in Texas, and we're looking for the person who becomes their front desk.
Small, hands-on business, so the role is broad on purpose. You're answering the phone to homeowners, keeping the job schedule straight, getting quotes and invoices out, and writing the updates the owner actually relies on. When a customer rings about their driveway, you're who they speak to.
The thing we're screening hardest on is how you come across. The customers are American homeowners, so clear, professional English on the phone and in writing is what this role lives or dies on. If you can write a customer email that goes out exactly as you wrote it, we want to talk.
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years in admin, reception, customer service, scheduling or ops support
- Excellent spoken English, clear and easily understood over the phone
- Strong written English, good enough to write reports and customer emails unsupervised
- Comfortable owning a busy inbox and phone line without being chased
- Solid Excel or Google Sheets
- A quiet home workspace with reliable power and internet
Nice to have: experience supporting a US, UK or Australian business, or a background in trades, construction or home services.
Be clear on one thing before you apply. This is full US Central hours, which means 3pm to midnight South African time, shifting to 4pm to 1am from November through March when the US changes its clocks and we don't. It's a permanent late shift. It suits some people very well and doesn't suit others at all, and it's better to know that now.
Pay is R15,000 to R20,000 a month. Fully remote, no commute, and you own the front desk and admin workload rather than a slice of it.
