A prestigious, leading beauty salon based in the heart of Stellenbosch is seeking a passionate, confident, and customer-focused Front Desk Coordinator.
As the first point of contact, you will be the face and voice of the salon, playing a pivotal role in maintaining a premium brand image while ensuring seamless daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Relations: Welcome guests warmly, providing an exceptional, high-end customer experience from arrival to departure
- Diary Management: Efficiently manage salon bookings, schedule appointments, and optimize the daily calendar
- Communication: Promptly handle phone calls, emails, and walk-in client inquiries with professionalism
- Sales & Promotion: Drive and achieve retail and service sales targets by confidently promoting premium products and treatments
- Administration & Finance: Process payments, accurately balance daily cash-ups, and maintain detailed client records
- Salon Standards: Coordinate front desk operations, resolve client concerns graciously, and uphold pristine housekeeping and hygiene standards
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a front desk, reception, or coordinator role strictly within a beauty salon, luxury spa, or similar hospitality environment
- Tech Skills: Fully computer literate with hands-on experience using industry-specific booking/appointment software
- Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required in the retail/beauty sector
Required Skills & Attributes
- Bilingualism: Fully fluent in Afrikaans and English (both written and spoken) to comfortably assist a diverse local clientele
- Presentation: Impeccable grooming, a polished appearance, and a professional demeanor
- Sales Acumen: A naturally sales-driven mindset with the ability to subtly cross-sell services and retail products
- Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities with a positive, energetic personality
