Front of House Manager

Délices is a French-inspired pâtisserie, deli, and eatery in George, bringing the flavours and traditions of France to the Garden Route. We specialise in handcrafted pastries, artisan breads, specialty dishes, premium cheeses and carefully curated French and local delicacies. We pride ourselves on exceptional quality, attention to detail, and warm, personalised service.

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and customer-focused Front of House Manager to take ownership of the daily front-of-house operations. This is an independent role, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, takes initiative, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a warm and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and other beverages.
• Take customer orders and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Serve pastries, crêpes, sandwiches, and deli items.
• Ensure the café and deli displays are clean, fully stocked, and attractively presented.
• Handle cash-up and daily opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
• Represent the Délices brand by providing an outstanding customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confident working independently and managing multiple tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
• Basic computer and POS experience.
• A passion for quality food, coffee, and hospitality.

Pay: R12 800,00 - R18 000,00 per month

Education:

• High School (matric) (Preferred)
