Job description

Planet Fitness is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House Representative to be the first point of contact for our members and guests. The successful candidate will create a welcoming environment, deliver outstanding customer service, and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and guests with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Manage member check-ins and ensure efficient access control.
  • Assist prospective members with club tours and membership enquiries.
  • Process new memberships, upgrades, renewals, and cancellations accurately.
  • Handle member queries, complaints, and feedback professionally, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and other member communications promptly.
  • Maintain accurate member records and update information on the club management system.
  • Promote club services, promotions, and retail products.
  • Process payments and balance daily cash and card transactions.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
  • Monitor the entrance and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Support club events and member engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the fitness team and management to ensure an exceptional member experience.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
