Job description
Planet Fitness is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House Representative to be the first point of contact for our members and guests. The successful candidate will create a welcoming environment, deliver outstanding customer service, and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the club.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests with a professional and positive attitude.
- Manage member check-ins and ensure efficient access control.
- Assist prospective members with club tours and membership enquiries.
- Process new memberships, upgrades, renewals, and cancellations accurately.
- Handle member queries, complaints, and feedback professionally, escalating issues where necessary.
- Answer telephone calls, emails, and other member communications promptly.
- Maintain accurate member records and update information on the club management system.
- Promote club services, promotions, and retail products.
- Process payments and balance daily cash and card transactions.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
- Monitor the entrance and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Support club events and member engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with the fitness team and management to ensure an exceptional member experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, or a similar role is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
