Job description

  • Act as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and external service providers.

  • Provide clear, timely information to patients about processes, wait times, and care plans.

  • Reassure and empathize with patients to create a comfortable and welcoming environment

  • Facilitate patient admission,transfers, and discharge processes efficiently.

  • Offer creative solutions and ideas to improve service quality and address recurring issues.

  • Monitor and maintain effective patient flow within the Trauma Unit and reception area.

  • Perform regular rounds in the Trauma Unit and main reception to assess patient needs and address concerns

  • Provide consistent feedback to managers on patient complaints and potential areas for improvement

  • Assist the Unit Manager and other staff in implementing patient-centred service strategies

  • Handle patient complaints with professionalism and escalate unresolved issues to Client Service or management as necessary.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve patient concerns promptly.

  • Compile and submit daily reports on patient flow, challenges, and resolutions.

  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.

  • Attend daily management meetings and provide relevant updates.

  • Empathy : Ability to understand and respond to patient concerns compassionately.

  • Problem – Solving : Proactively address challenges and suggest innovative solutions to improve the patient journey.

  • Adaptability: Remain Flexible to handle the dynamic nature of the Trauma Unit and reception environment

  • Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of conduct, confidentiality, and reliability.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate positive and professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders while upholding the Melomed Values.

  • Strictly adhere to all policies and procedures relating to this job description including those within the Company.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Hospital/Hospitality industry experience is essential

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of trauma processes

  • Excellent computer proficiency

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and strong listening skills

  • Ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure
