Job description

Baden Bower is a global PR agency founded in 2018. We’ve placed over 25,000 articles for 3,500+ clients in publications including Forbes, Entrepreneur, Rolling Stone, Vogue and Apple News. Our model is different from a traditional agency: we guarantee placement or refund the client in full. That’s possible because we work through established commercial relationships with 700+ publications.

For you, that means the part of agency life most publicists hate is gone. No cold pitching journalists who never reply. No explaining to a client why three months of retainers produced nothing. When you promise a client coverage, it lands.

The role

Full-time, fully remote. You own a portfolio of clients end to end.

Warm inbound enquiries book Zoom calls directly into your calendar; there’s no cold outreach. On the call you diagnose what the client needs, build their PR strategy, and scope and price the engagement yourself through HubSpot. Once they sign, you’re their publicist: you write their feature stories and press releases, work with our publication partners to place them, and run the relationship through check-ins, renewals and expansion as your portfolio grows.

Most agencies split this across account executives, writers and client services. Here it’s one person with full ownership, which means your clients deal with the publicist who actually knows their story, and you’re rewarded for the whole relationship, not one slice of it.

Who does well here

• Publicists or PR account managers who can write, not just brief writers. Feature-quality drafts under deadline. Writing samples required.

• Comfortable being commercial. You’ll scope, price and win your own engagements, so consultative selling experience helps.

• Excellent spoken and written English, sharp on video calls

• Organised enough to run a growing portfolio in HubSpot without dropping balls

Practical requirements

  • Remote role, so you’ll need your own computer with admin access (8 GB RAM minimum), a stable 25 Mbps+ connection, and a quiet workspace for client video calls.
