Role Purpose Strategically manage the Momentum Health4Me solution in the Health Segment. Instrumental in building and maintaining strategic client relationships with business stakeholders as well as the commercial, governance, legal and compliance oversight of Health4Me - Momentum Health’s Affordable Healthcare Insurance offering.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Relevant degree
  • 10 years relevant experience, including experience in client relationship management, consulting, new business and servicing
  • 3 Years in management of people
  • Experience in Affordable Healthcare Strategy formulation and / or Execution at a senior level is preferred

Duties & Responsibilities Develop and execute product strategy

  • Accountable for formulating the long-term strategic direction for the product, including defining the product vision, objectives, value proposition, and growth opportunities.
  • Translates strategic priorities into actionable plans, oversees implementation, and ensures effective execution through cross-functional collaboration and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Acts as the custodian of the product strategy, responsible for defining, communicating, and driving the strategic roadmap.
  • Ensures that strategic objectives are translated into measurable initiatives, resources are aligned to priorities, and progress is monitored to deliver the intended business, customer, and market outcomes.
  • Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs to inform strategic direction.
  • Lead and coordinate the execution of approved strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate strategic performance, making adjustments where required to achieve business objectives.
  • Engage and influence key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful strategy delivery.
  • Provides strategic direction and subject matter expertise to inform product design and enhancement initiatives. Ensures product design decisions are aligned with the product vision, target market needs, organisational strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine product features, benefits, and customer experiences.

Oversee and implement financial and corporate governance measures

  • Implement and compile budgets to minimise expenditure in alignment with tactical delivery plans.
  • Control the budget for area, including the authorisation of expenditures and implementation of financial regulations.
  • Manage high risk and problematic financial issues in area of accountability, and contribute to the development of policy.
  • Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems, and use them to monitor and report on financial activities.
  • Implement and provide feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures: preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct.
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policies in own practice area, to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.

Oversee product legal and regulatory compliancet

  • Responsible for ensuring that all products are developed, maintained, and administered in compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitors legislative changes, assesses their impact on products, and implements necessary amendments to ensure ongoing legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement product amendments and governance processes required to maintain compliance.
  • Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Regulatory stakeholders to obtain required approvals and guidance.
  • Identify, mitigate, and report product compliance risks.

Oversee the fund relationship management function

  • Represent all areas of Momentum Health at client engagements, coordinating delivery from affected products and channels.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed deliverables in Service Level Agreements, maintaining oversight of administration deliverables and adherence to promises from affected products and channels.
  • Assess client needs, identifying areas for cross- and up-selling.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Momentum Group solutions and products, providing regular client feedback to product and solution owners.
  • Implement cross- and up-selling in collaboration with the appropriate segments, distribution channels and product houses.
  • Assist the Head: Client Engagement in maintaining the client satisfaction measurement framework.
  • Manage strategic client forums and relationship events.
  • Contribute to building appropriate client value propositions.
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal decision makers and interest groups, in support of tactical objective achievement.
  • Develop operational targets in support of tactical delivery plans and organisational strategic objectives in partnership with functional leadership.
  • Ensure effective client and stakeholder feedback practices and associated processes exist and are acted on timeously.
  • Ensure timeous communication on progress and challenges in achieving tactical goals and operational plans to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage practices that continuously grow the market and position the message through the correct mediums and channels.
  • Represent and report customer viewpoint upward to the larger organisation.
  • Use the insights from knowledge gained through market information and intelligence reports to measure success and realign tactical objectives.

Create a client centric environment that focuses on best practice service delivery

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders that promote cross delivery practice solutions.
  • Contribute to sustaining a competitive edge through external networking, benchmarking and representation on related forums.
  • Define fair and innovative client service practices which build rewarding relationships, and allows team to provide exceptional client service.
  • Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to identify changing client needs, and make recommendations to align service offering with client needs.
  • Manage a client service excellence culture which builds enduring relationships and allows team to provide exceptional client service.
  • Manage the introduction of new channels for client interaction in order to improve client services against service expectations.

Effectively lead the team

  • Be a member of and make positive contributions to Professional Bodies and Stakeholder Groups.
  • Create a positive work climate and culture to energise employees, give meaning to work, minimise work disruption and maximise employee productivity.
  • Develop, implement and manage a People Capability plan that ensures that the function has the human resources and skills required to deliver on the strategy for the short-, medium- and long-term.
