GC - Diving Coach (part time)

Within the Girls’ College we strive to produce confident young women who are able to lead a life of conviction and purpose. This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be employed on a fixed-term contract, with remuneration aligned to their expertise and coaching level. Girls’ College invites applications for the above-mentioned position which will be available from 1 September 2026. We welcome applications from qualified and experienced individuals who are confident in their skills and competencies to excel in this role.

The requirements for this position are:

• Morning and afternoon training sessions as well as one fixture on a Saturday morning.
• Availability for all training sessions and fixtures.
• Coaching and management of a diving team – Setting up team lists etc.
• Working with other diving coaches
• Individual and holistic development of students.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A minimum of 2 years coaching experience at Open level.
• A competitive level (post matric) or coaching experience in a school, university or club environment is preferred.
• A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage.
• An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach.
• Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
