General Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and proactive General Assistant to support the day-to-day upkeep, cleanliness, and smooth operation of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping and hygiene standards, assisting with general facilities-related tasks, reporting maintenance and safety concerns, and supporting the Facilities Coordinator, Supervisor, and contractors with operational activities. This role requires a safety-conscious individual who takes pride in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained working environment while adhering to company and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of a Matric qualification is advantageous.
• Excellent housekeeping ability.
• Friendly personality.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with general cleaning, housekeeping and facilities-related duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the assigned areas.
• Replenish consumables and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment and materials when required.
• Support the Facilities Coordinator, Supervisor and contractors with operational activities.
• Report maintenance defects, safety hazards and other facility-related issues.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are used, stored and maintained correctly.
• Comply with all company, client, health and safety requirements.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or Facilities Coordinator.
