We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused General Assistant to join our Training Academy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the academy by ensuring training rooms, dining areas, and common spaces are clean, organized, and welcoming for learners, facilitators, and visitors. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards in a professional learning environment. TSEBO has 51 years of experience of catering to all segments across society. The successful incumbent should have extensive client interaction as well as operational experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare training venues and meeting rooms before training sessions. Assist with the serving of refreshments, meals, and beverages during training events. Ensure training rooms, dining areas, kitchens, and communal spaces are clean and presentable at all times. Replenish consumables such as tea, coffee, milk, stationery, and cleaning supplies. Assist with receiving, storing, and issuing stock according to company procedures. Support catering and hospitality functions during academy events and workshops. Maintain compliance with food safety, health, safety, and hygiene standards. Assist with dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Report maintenance issues, stock shortages, and health and safety concerns. Provide friendly and professional service to all learners, facilitators, and visitors.### Skills and Competencies
Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety practices. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and well-presented. Willingness to work flexible hours when required.### Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a hospitality, catering, housekeeping, cleaning, or general assistant role will be advantageous.
