General Maintenance and Driver | George, Western Cape

Description Keep us moving. Keep things working. Help create Soft Landings every day. Some days you’ll be behind the wheel, making sure people, equipment and supplies get where they need to be. Other days, you’ll be working alongside our Maintenance team, helping keep our buildings and outdoor spaces safe, neat and well cared for.

About The Role This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety.

When driving is needed, you’ll safely transport employees, executives and guests, handle airport collections and drop-offs, and collect or deliver equipment, materials, stock and documentation.

When you’re not on the road, you’ll be part of the Maintenance crew, helping with general repairs, painting and the everyday jobs that keep our workplace running smoothly.

You’ll Be Trusted To

• Transport staff, visitors and executives safely and professionally
• Complete airport collections and drop-offs in George and surrounding areas
• Collect and deliver equipment, materials, stock and documentation
• Keep company vehicles clean, roadworthy and ready to go
• Assist with gardens, lawns and outdoor areas
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs
• Help with basic painting, plumbing and carpentry tasks
• Keep walkways, parking areas and storerooms neat and safe
• Move furniture and help prepare spaces when needed
• Take care of tools and equipment and report maintenance issues
• Keep accurate vehicle and delivery records
• Pitch in wherever the team needs an extra pair of hands

What You’ll Need

• A valid South African Code B Driver’s Licence
• At least 2 years’ driving experience
• A good driving record
• Experience in general maintenance, gardening or handyman work
• Basic computer literacy
• Good English communication skills
• The physical ability to carry out maintenance work and assist with loading and unloading
• It is important the successful applicants has a clear criminal record.
