We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Worker to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of a large heritage property in Somerset West. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for carrying out a variety of basic maintenance tasks to ensure the property and grounds are maintained to a high standard. This role requires a trustworthy individual who is reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and practical skills. Ingredients: Key Responsibilities* Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property.

• Carry out routine gardening and grounds maintenance duties.

• Assist with basic carpentry and handyman tasks as required.

• Assist with basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.

• Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance issues to the ZA Facilities Manager promptly.

• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organised.

• Assist with setting up and moving equipment, furniture, and materials when required.

• Follow all health and safety procedures and property regulations.

• Drive company vehicles and transport materials as needed.

• Carry out from time to time and as directed, tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities

What We’re Looking For* Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence

Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a similar role will be advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, gardening, carpentry, painting, or general repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
• Good communication skills.
