The Recipe for Success: Role Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Worker to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of a large heritage property in Somerset West. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for carrying out a variety of basic maintenance tasks to ensure the property and grounds are maintained to a high standard. This role requires a trustworthy individual who is reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and practical skills.

Ingredients: Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property.
• Carry out routine gardening and grounds maintenance duties.
• Assist with basic carpentry and handyman tasks as required.
• Assist with basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance issues to the ZA Facilities Manager promptly.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and organised.
• Assist with setting up and moving equipment, furniture, and materials when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and property regulations.
• Drive company vehicles and transport materials as needed
• Carry out from time to time and as directed, tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities

The Perfect Blend What We’re Looking For

• Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence
• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a similar role will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, gardening, carpentry, painting, or general repairs.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
• Good communication skills.
