Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Maintenance Worker to assist with the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of our premises.

Duties will include:

Cutting grass and general garden maintenance
Cleaning and keeping the premises, outside areas and work areas neat
General maintenance and basic repair work
Using basic power tools, including a drill
Hanging, fixing and installing basic items
Painting and touch-up work when required
Moving furniture, equipment and other items
Assisting with general handyman and maintenance tasks
Identifying and reporting maintenance problems
Any other general work required to keep the premises clean, safe and well maintained

Requirements:

Must be physically fit and willing to perform manual work
Must know how to use basic hand and power tools
Must be able to use a drill confidently
Basic maintenance/handyman experience will be an advantage
Must be reliable, punctual and able to work without constant supervision
Must take pride in keeping the premises clean and well maintained
Valid driver’s licence will be a strong advantage
Previous experience in general maintenance, gardening or similar work will be advantageous
South African citizen
Must have contactable references
Must have proven track record

Pay: R6 000,00 - R6 500,00 per month
