WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS The General Manager: Group Finance is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of the Group's financial consolidation, external reporting and treasury functions, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely financial information, strong financial governance, and effective liquidity and risk management across the listed entity's multinational operations.
What You Will Be Responsible For Group Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial results in compliance with IFRS, JSE Listings Requirements and internal policies across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Financial Governance & Compliance
- Establish and maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, sound accounting judgments and effective engagement with external and internal auditors.
Group Treasury Management
- Lead group treasury activities including cash management, liquidity planning, funding, FX and interest rate risk management, and banking relationships in line with the Board-approved risk appetite.
Strategic Financial Insight & Advisory
- Provide high-quality financial insights to Executive Management and the Board to support strategic decision-making, capital allocation and value creation.
Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement
- Drive consistency, standardisation and continuous improvement in group finance processes, consolidation systems and treasury operations.
Other
- Build trusted relationships with executive management, Board committees, auditors and banking partners.
- Partners effectively with regional and business unit finance teams to ensure alignment and consistent application of group standards.
- Actively manage team performance and entrench the Omnia values.
Qualifications WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- CA(SA)
Experience
- 10+ years' experience in a senior finance role and a member of an entity's executive committee
Key Competencies
- Advanced understanding of IFRS and group consolidation principles
- Expertise in foreign currency translation and treasury risk management
- Strong knowledge of listed company reporting and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly
- Strong analytical, review and problem solving capability
