General Sales Worker( Matriculants )

Overview

LW Recruitment Consulting is seeking motivated and customer-focused General Sales Workers to join a sales team in Pretoria. This role is well suited to matriculants who are looking to start building practical workplace experience in a customer-facing environment.

The successful candidate will support daily sales activities, assist customers, maintain product displays, and help ensure the sales area is organised, welcoming, and ready for business. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide accurate information about products, pricing, and availability
• Support the sales process by helping customers identify suitable products
• Restock shelves and ensure products are neatly displayed
• Keep the sales floor clean, organised, and presentable at all times
• Assist with merchandising and promotional displays
• Handle basic customer queries and escalate more complex issues when needed
• Support stock checks and report low or damaged stock
• Process sales or assist at the point of sale where required
• Work closely with team members to achieve daily and monthly sales targets
• Follow company procedures, customer service standards, and workplace policies

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Good verbal communication skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Willingness to learn and take instruction
• Friendly, helpful, and professional attitude
• Ability to work well in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Comfortable working in a retail or sales environment
• Able to stand for extended periods and carry out general shop-floor duties

Nice to Have

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or sales experience
• Basic understanding of stock handling and merchandising
• Confidence in dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds
