General Sales Workers ( Matriculants )

LW Recruitment Consulting is seeking motivated and customer-focused General Sales Workers to join a growing retail and sales environment in East London. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Assist customers with product selection and provide accurate information about products and promotions
• Support the sales process by helping customers find suitable items based on their needs
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently where required
• Replenish stock on shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively
• Monitor stock levels and report low, damaged, or missing stock to management
• Keep the sales floor clean, organised, and presentable at all times
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and arranging incoming stock
• Help prevent stock loss by following company procedures and maintaining awareness on the shop floor
• Handle customer queries and refer more complex issues to senior staff when necessary
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily and monthly sales targets
• Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and operational guidelines

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Good verbal communication skills
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong customer service approach
• Ability to work well in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays if required
• Physically able to stand for long periods and assist with moving stock when needed

Nice to Have

• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience
• Basic cashier or point-of-sale experience
• Confidence in handling customer questions and resolving simple issues
• Interest in building a long-term career in retail or sales
