Job description
The Role
We are looking for a reliable, physically fit and hardworking General Warehouse Worker to support the daily operation of our warehouse.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that involves moving furniture, organising stock, assisting with deliveries and offloading new stock from shipping containers.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move and stack furniture and boxed products.
- Assist with offloading shipping containers and incoming deliveries.
- Label orders and prepare them for courier collection or delivery.
- Move received stock to the correct warehouse locations.
- Assist with loading delivery vehicles and customer collections.
- Help pick, pack, wrap and prepare orders when required.
- Keep furniture and products clean and protected from damage.
- Maintain clean, tidy and organised warehouse areas.
- Keep aisles, entrances and emergency exits clear.
- Assist with stock counts and locating products.
- Report damaged, missing or incorrectly stored stock.
- Dispose of packaging and warehouse waste correctly.
- Assist the warehouse team with other general duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, general labour, logistics or furniture-handling experience is advantageous.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy or bulky furniture.
- Comfortable performing repetitive manual work and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, honest and hardworking.
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Careful when handling furniture and customer orders.
- Willing to assist with physically demanding container offloads.
- English communication skills.
- Available to work overtime when reasonably required.
Please note: This is a physically demanding warehouse position and is not a driving, supervisory or desk-based role.
Pay: R7 000,00 - R7 500,00 per month
